1019—Mahdi ibn Muhammad ibn Mahdi al-‘Attar al-Naysaburi narrated to us in his own words: Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub ibn Yusuf narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ‘Ali ibn Maymun narrated to us; Abu Muhammad al-Ghallabi narrated to us; Abu Wahb ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn ‘Abdullah narrated to us; Abu Hilal al-Rasibi narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Hassan al-A‘raj, from Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Allah created John, son of Zachariah, a believer while he was in his mother’s womb, and He created Pharaoh a disbeliever while he was in his mother’s womb.”

1020—Abu Wahb said: Shu‘bah also narrated it to me, from Abu Ishaq, from Najiyah, from Abdullah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with the same wording.
