1005—Muhammad ibn Uthman ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Qasim informed us, saying: Abd al-Ghafir ibn Salamah narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Awf al-Himsi narrated to us; al-Husayn ibn Hafs al-Isbahani narrated to us; Sufyan narrated to us, from Amr ibn Dharr, who said: I heard Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz say, “Had Allah willed that He not be disobeyed, He would not have created Iblis. He has indeed set forth and made clear to you: ‘You cannot lead anyone astray by means of it’ [al-Saffat 37:162], except one for whom He has decreed that he will enter the Blazing Fire.”
