974—Al-Hasan informed us; he said: Ahmad ibn Hamdan informed us; he said: Bishr narrated to us; he said: Mu‘awiyah narrated to us; he said: Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Minhal ibn ‘Amr, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding His saying, exalted is He: “Allah erases whatever He wills and confirms whatever He wills; and with Him is the Mother of the Book.” He said: “Misery, happiness, and death.”
