56. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abd Allah informed us: Dālaj ibn Ahmad narrated to us; Ibrahim ibn Mahmud narrated to us, saying: I heard Yunus ibn Abd al-Ala say: I heard Asad ibn Musa say:

“We were with Sufyan ibn Uyaynah when news was brought to him of al-Darawardi’s death. He was deeply distressed and openly showed his grief, though al-Darawardi had not yet died. So we said ⦗74⦘, ‘We did not realize that you would be so affected by this.’ He replied, ‘He is one of the people of the sunnah.’”
