(1) In appending this supplement to the end of the present book, I am following the example of the eminent hadith scholar Shaykh Abū Abd al-Rahmān Muhammad Nāsir al-Dīn al-Albānī—may Allah preserve and protect him. I saw that he had included an appendix on funeral innovations at the end of his book *Ahkām al-Janā’iz wa Bida‘uhā* (Funeral Rites and Their Innovations), as well as a similar appendix on innovations relating to Hajj, Umrah, and visitation at the end of both *Hajjat al-Nabī kamā Rawāhā Jābir* (The Prophet’s Hajj as Narrated by Jābir) and *Manāsik al-Hajj wa-al-Umra* (The Rites of Hajj and Umrah).
