By contrast, those who oppose the messengers are accursed; they stray far from their Lord and are veiled from Him. Allah the Exalted says,
“O children of Adam, should messengers come to you from among yourselves, recounting to you My revelations—whoever is mindful and mends his ways, no fear shall be on them, nor shall they grieve. But those who deny Our signs and act arrogantly toward them, those are the people of the Fire; they will remain therein forever.” ⦗Al-Aʿrāf 7:35–36⦘
He also says,
“Whenever guidance comes to you from Me, then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor fall into misery. But whoever turns away from My remembrance shall have a cramped life, and on the Day of Resurrection We shall raise him blind. He will say, ‘My Lord, why have You raised me blind when I once had sight?’ He will be told, ‘Just so: Our signs came to you and you ignored them; and in the same way, today you are yourself ignored.’” ⦗Ṭā Hā 20:123–126⦘
Ibn ʿAbbās said, “Allah has guaranteed that anyone who recites the Quran and lives by what it contains will never go astray in this world, nor be wretched in the Hereafter.”
And He says concerning the people of Hellfire,
“Whenever a multitude is flung into it, its keepers will ask them, ‘Did no warner come to you?’ They will reply, ‘Indeed, a warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, “Allah has not sent down anything; you are only in gross error.”’” ⦗Al-Mulk 67:8–9⦘
