Al-Wasita bayna al-Haqq wa-l-KhalqIbn Taimiya

He the Exalted further said: “Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission?” (2:255)

He also said: “If Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He; and if He wills good for you, there is none who can turn back His bounty.” (10:107)

He, Most High, said: “Whatever mercy Allah opens up for people, no one can withhold; and whatever He withholds, none can release after Him.” (35:2)

And He said: “Say: Have you considered those you call upon apart from Allah? If the All-Merciful intends harm for me, could they remove His harm? Or if He intends mercy for me, could they withhold His mercy? Say: Allah is sufficient for me; in Him do those who trust place their trust.” (39:38)

Verses of this sort are plentiful in the Quran.
