Hadith Twelve

15 – Through the same chain up to Yūsuf ibn Khalīl: Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Iṣbahānī informed us; Abū Manṣūr al-Ṣayrafī informed us; Abū al-Ḥusayn ibn Fādhshāh informed us; Abū al-Qāsim al-Ṭabarānī narrated to us; Bishr ibn Mūsā told us; Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Muqriʾ narrated, from Abū Ḥanīfah, from Ḥammād, from Ibrāhīm, from Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Jadalī, from Khuzaymah ibn Thābit—may Allah be pleased with him—who reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Concerning wiping over the leather socks: the traveler may do so for three days and their nights, while the resident may do so for one day and one night.”
