His Passing and Lifespan:
Imam Muslim—may Allah have mercy on him—died on Sunday evening and was buried the following Monday, five days before the end of Rajab in the year 261 AH. He was laid to rest in Nasrābād on the outskirts of Nishapur. Regarding his age, some said he lived fifty-five years, while others put it at seventy-five—may Allah have mercy on him.
