And they had distanced themselves from the carrion of materialism, the dung of lusts, and the polytheism of Sufism. Indeed, their aspirations had soared so high that they were almost in the company of the angels in purity and loftiness. These hearts inhabit one valley, and communism another. The two do not meet. Indeed, were communism to pass through their valley, their faith would melt it away and extinguish it. It is these hearts that have remained in the region today, believing in Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and the Last Day. Allah alone grants success.
