Sufism Gives the Germs of Communism a Foothold

When communism entered many Islamic lands whose inhabitants claim to be believers, how did their faith resist the fire of communism?

Did that faith of theirs extinguish it, making it cool and safe for the inhabitants of those lands? Or do we instead see the fire of communism spreading through those hearts as fire spreads through dry reeds? Is it not evident that the faith of those believing inhabitants dissolved before communism as salt dissolves in water, and that communism consumed it as fire consumes wood?

This is the reality—but why? Why did we find no resistance from those believers? Why this defeat before communism? What lies behind it? We all know that doubts and desires cannot stand against sincere faith; indeed, it encounters no doubt, desire, or sin without burning it away

تمكين التصوف لجراثيم الشيوعية ... تمكين النصوف لجراثيم الشيوعية عندما دخلت الشيوعية كثيرا من الأقطار الإسلامية التي يزعم سكانها أنهم مؤمنون كيف كانت مقاومة إيمانهم لنار الشيوعية؟. هل اطفأها إيمانهم ذلك حتى صارت بردا وسلاما على سكان تلك الأقطار؟ أم المشاهد أن نار الشيوعية سرت في تلك القلوب سريان النار في القصب اليابسة؟ أو ليس المشاهد أن إيمان أولئك السكان المؤمنين ذاب أمام الشوعية ذوبان الملح في الماء؟ وأكلته الشيوعية كما تأكل النار الحطب؟ هذا هو الواقع ولماذا؟ لماذا لم نجد المقاومة من أولئك المؤمنين أولماذا هذه الهزيمة أمام الشيوعية؟ وما السر في ذلك؟ ونحن نعلم جميعا أن الإيمان الصادق لا تقف أمامه الشبهات والشهوات بل لا يصادف شبهة أو شهوة أو ذنبا إلا أحرقه
