Fifth: Al-Bāʿith ʿalā Inkār al-Bidaʿ wal-Ḥawādith by Imām Abū Shāmah.
Sixth: Al-Ibdāʿ fī Maḍār al-Ibtidāʿ by Shaykh ʿAlī Maḥfūẓ.
Seventh: As-Sunan wal-Mubtadaʿāt by Shaykh Muḥammad ʿAbd as-Salām Khaḍr.
Eighth: At-Taḥdhīr min al-Bidaʿ by Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz.

These books are easily obtainable: some are distributed free of charge while others cost only a small amount. You should acquire them—or at least whatever you are able—for they are, by Allah’s permission, full of benefit.

Nevertheless, my advice to you and to others is not to content yourselves with mere reading. Seek out reliable scholars with whom you can study these works, so that they may clarify whatever is obscure and point out the truth they contain. Allah alone grants success.

Question: What are the best books that deal with tawḥīd and sound creed?

Answer: Praise be to Allah, there are many such books and they are readily available. By way of example:

• Iqtiḍāʾ aṣ-Ṣirāṭ al-Mustaqīm by Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah; it is printed and widely circulated, praise be to Allah.
• Ighāthat al-Lahfān min Maṣāyid ash-Shayṭān by the eminent Imām Ibn al-Qayyim—especially its second volume.
