• Fatḥ al-Majīd, a commentary on Kitāb at-Tawḥīd by Shaykh ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān ibn Ḥasan.
• The Three Fundamental Principles (ath-Thalāthatu ’l-Uṣūl) and Unveiling the Doubts (Kashf ash-Shubuhāt) — two concise treatises by Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb.
• I further recommend that you purchase the set entitled At-Tawḥīd an-Najdiyyah, for it contains brief yet beneficial epistles on tawḥīd and creed; make sure you add this blessed collection to your library.
• Sharḥ aṭ-Taḥāwiyyah by al-ʿAllāmah Ibn Abī ’l-ʿIzz al-Ḥanafī, a clear, accessible commentary that covers every chapter of creed.
• Ighāthat al-Lahfān min Maṣāyid ash-Shayṭān by Imām Ibn al-Qayyim, an invaluable work on matters of creed and on warning against innovations and deviations. It is a precious book that no serious student of knowledge should be unfamiliar with. These are the titles that deal specifically with creed.
As for works devoted to forbidding and warning against innovations, there are—praise be to Allah—useful and readily available books, namely:
First: Iqtiḍāʾ aṣ-Ṣirāṭ al-Mustaqīm Mukhālafat Aṣḥāb al-Jaḥīm by Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah.
Second: Al-Iʿtiṣām by Imām ash-Shāṭibī.
Third: Al-Ḥawādith wal-Bidʿa by Imām aṭ-Ṭurṭūshī.
Fourth: Al-Bidʿa wan-Nahy ʿanhā by Ibn Waḍḍāḥ.
