The Allies (awliyāʾ) of Allah, Exalted is He
Question: Certain people are described as being “allies of Allah.” What is their true description? How did they attain that rank? Are they limited to a particular era, or do they exist in every age?
Answer: Allah Himself has defined the qualities of His allies, saying: “Unquestionably, the allies of Allah will have no fear, nor will they grieve—those who believe and remain mindful of Him” (Yūnus 10:62–63). Hence, the allies of Allah are those who believe and are God-fearing; that is their description. Whoever is characterized by faith and piety is one of the allies of Allah—each according to the measure of his faith—in every time and place. Allah knows best.

Answer: It is indeed possible to see the Messenger ﷺ in a dream, and the hadith on this matter is authentic. However, this applies only to the one who knows the Prophet ﷺ—if he recognizes him in
