view of the scholars is that you must repent to Allah, because the matter of one who deliberately abandons the prayer is grave indeed. Even if he does not deny that it is obligatory, the sound position is that such an act renders him a disbeliever. Therefore you must repent to Allah if you left the prayer intentionally, and you must be diligent about the prayer in the future, for Allah accepts the repentance of those who repent.
If, however, you missed it due to sleep, unconsciousness, or anything else that prevented you from performing it on time, then you must make it up without fail. As for performing the four-rakʿah prayer you described on the last Friday of Ramaḍān in that particular manner, it has no basis in the religion of Islam and will not expiate the prayers you left undone.

Question: May the prayer that was missed be made up at any time of day?
Answer: Whoever misses a prayer should perform it whenever he is able, for the Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps through it must perform it when he remembers it; there is no expiation for it other than that.” A missed prayer may therefore be made up at any time, and the periods in which voluntary prayer is disliked do not apply to it.
The wording of the questioner is imprecise, for he says “repeat the prayer,” whereas he should have said “make up the missed prayer.”
Making up a missed prayer is permissible whenever one is able, and he must hasten to do so.
