And the evidence for this is the Almighty’s words: “Indeed, We have sent to you a messenger as a witness over you, just as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger. But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a devastating seizure.” (al-Muzzammil 73:15–16) [6].
…“otherwise he will enter the Fire.” Hence, whoever obeys him enters Paradise, and whoever disobeys him enters the Fire; this is the dividing line between the believer and the unbeliever.
(6) His words, “and the proof,” i.e. the textual evidence for the sending of the Messenger.
The Exalted says: “Indeed, We have sent to you a Messenger who will bear witness against you, just as We sent a messenger to Pharaoh; but Pharaoh defied the messenger, so We seized him with a severe grasp.”
– “Indeed, We”: the pronoun refers to Allah and is the plural of majesty, for He is supremely great.
– “We have sent”: likewise a pronoun of majesty; “We have sent” means We commissioned him and revealed to him.
– “To you”: O assembly of the two accountable species, jinn and humans; the address is to all people, for this Messenger’s mission is universal until the Day of Resurrection.
– “A Messenger”: namely Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
