“Or do those who commit evil deeds imagine that We shall treat them like those who believe and do righteous deeds—equal will be their living and their dying? Evil indeed is the judgment they make.” (al-Jathiyah 45:21)
He also says: “Or shall We make those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who spread corruption on earth? Or shall We make the God-fearing like the profligate?” (Ṣād 38:28)
And He, exalted be He, says: “Did you suppose that We created you in vain, and that to Us you would not be returned?” (al-Mu’minūn 23:115)
And He, Most High, says: “Does man think that he will be left to wander aimlessly? Was he not a drop of emitted fluid, then he became a clinging clot, so He created and proportioned him, and made of him the two sexes, male and female. Is not He, then, able to give life to the dead?” (al-Qiyāmah 75:36-40)
He also refuted the disbeliever who said, “Who will give life to bones when they are decayed?” with His words: “Say: He who produced them the first time will give them life again; He has full knowledge of every creation—He who made for you, from the fresh green tree, fire, and behold, you kindle from it.” (Yā Sīn 36:78-80) The One who can draw scorching fire from moist, green wood is surely able to resurrect the dead.
Among the proofs of the Resurrection is the evidence drawn from the creation of the heavens and the earth: He who fashioned these vast and magnificent realms is certainly able to re-create human beings, for whoever is capable of achieving something so immense is, a fortiori, capable of what is less.
