The unbelievers allege that the angels are the daughters of Allah. The Almighty says: “And they have made the angels—who are servants of the Most Merciful—females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.” (Qur’an 43:19)

We hold that they are truly the speech of Allah, and we affirm both those He has named and those He has not named. Among the scriptures He has specifically mentioned are the Torah, the Gospel, the Glorious Qur’an, the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses, and the Psalms; we believe in all of them and in every other scripture Allah revealed but did not name.
