Slaughtering, its categories, and its proof
The proof for slaughtering is the Almighty’s statement: “Say, ‘Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of all worlds.’” ⦗Al-Anʿām 6:162⦘
And from the Sunnah: “Allah has cursed anyone who offers a sacrifice to other than Allah.” ⦗25⦘
(25) Slaughter is of four kinds:
The first: slaughtering as an act of devotion and veneration for someone. This is permissible only for Allah, for it is a financial act of worship. Hence it is forbidden to sacrifice to jinn, devils, kings, or presidents in order to honor them, because such worship belongs to Allah alone.
Those who sacrifice to jinn seeking protection from their harm or healing for the sick—as do soothsayers and astrologers who tell people, “Slaughter such-and-such for your patient’s recovery, but do not invoke Allah’s name”—commit major shirk that expels one from Islam. Concerning this, Allah warned: “Say: Indeed my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds” (Quran 6:162), and He said: “So pray to your Lord and sacrifice” (Quran 108:2), meaning: offer the slaughter solely to your Lord.
الذبح أقسامه ودليله
ودليل الذبح قوله تعالى: ﴿قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾ [الأنعام:١٦٢] .
وَمِنَ السُنَّةِ: «لعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ ذَبَحَ لغير الله» [٢٥] .
[٢٥] الذبح على أربعة أقسام:
الأول: الذبح على وجه التقرب والتعظيم لأحد ما، وهذا لا يجوز إلا لله ﷾؛ لأنه من العبادات المالية، فلا يجوز الذبح للجن ولا للشياطين ولا للملوك والرؤساء تعظيمًا لهم؛ لأن هذه عبادة لا تجوز إلا لله ﷿.
فالذين يذبحون للجن من أجل السلامة من شرهم، أو من أجل شفاء المرضى، كما يفعله الكهان والمنجمون الذين يدعون العلاج ويقولون للناس: اذبحوا كذا لأجل شفاء مريضكم، ولا تذكروا اسم الله عليه، هذا شرك أكبر مخرج من الملة، وهذا الذي قال الله تعالى محذرًا من فعله لغير الله: ﴿قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾ [الأنعام:١٦٢] وقال: ﴿فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ﴾ [الكوثر:٢] أي: واذبح لربك.
