And the Exalted also says: “Indeed, your Lord is Allah—He who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself above the Throne. He veils the night with the day, each pursuing the other swiftly; and He has subjected the sun, the moon, and the stars to His command. Truly, His alone is the creation and the command. Blessed is Allah, Lord of all worlds.” [al-Aʿrāf: 54] [8]
…created, managed, and subject to control. Would you prostrate to a creature like yourself, as powerless as you are? Such an act is impermissible—where has reason gone?!
Prostration is owed solely to the Creator, the One whom nothing can incapacitate; it is a right that belongs to Allah alone and never to any creature, no matter how exalted. However great a created being may appear, it is still weak, governed, and acted upon. “Do not prostrate yourselves to the sun nor to the moon; rather prostrate yourselves to Allah, Who created them, if it is Him that you truly worship.” (Fussilat 37)
The obligation, therefore, is to worship Allah exclusively. If you prostrate to Him and also to another, you are not rendering true worship to Allah; you are combining worship with shirk (polytheism), and shirk nullifies worship.
(8) Inna is a particle of emphasis that assigns the accusative case; it introduces an implied oath, the unspoken wording being “By Allah.” The expression inna rabbakum (“surely your Lord…”) is thus the answer to that implicit oath.
وَقَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ﴿إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾ [الأعراف: ٥٤] [٨]
مخلوقة مدبرة متصرف فيها، وهل تسجد لمخلوق مثلك عاجز مثلك، هذا لا يجوز، أين ذهبت العقول؟! .
السجود إنما يستحقه الخالق ﷾ الذي لا يعجزه شيء، فالسجود حق لله ﷿ وليس حقا للمخلوق مهما كان، هذا المخلوق من العظم والكبر فإنه مخلوق ضعيف مدبر متصرف فيه ﴿لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ﴾ [فصلت: ٣٧] .
فالواجب أن لا نعبد إلا الله، فإذا سجدتم له وسجدتم لغيره فإنكم لا تكونون عابدين لله العبادة الصحيحة، بل تعبدونه مع الشرك والشرك يفسد العبادة.
[٨] إن: حرف توكيد ونصب، وهي موطئة للقسم يقدر قبلها قسم تقديره والله.
إن ربكم: فهي في جواب قسم مقدر.
