Agreement and Singularity,” he set out the categories of monotheism and surveyed many of their proofs in the Book and Sunnah, explaining and elaborating on them in the fullest detail.
Among the chapters he included concerning Allah’s oneness in His lordship are the following:
1 On the descriptions Allah—Mighty and Majestic—has given of Himself, which attest to His oneness—Mighty and Majestic is He—and affirm that He is One, the Eternal Refuge, who neither begets nor is born, and to whom none is comparable.
2 On knowing how creation began.
3 On the evidence that the creation of the Throne preceded the creation of other things.
4 On the evidence that Allah ordained the destinies of all things before bringing creation into being.
5 On the clear signs from which people of understanding draw evidence and which Allah—Mighty and Majestic—has made a guide for His servants among His creation to knowledge of Him and His oneness: the ordered harmony of His handiwork and the wonders of His wisdom in creating the heavens and the earth...
6 On the clear signs Allah—Mighty and Majestic—brought into being, which point to His oneness.
7 On the harmonious, orderly signs attesting to the oneness of Allah—Mighty and Majestic—in the manner in which the heavens were created, which He mentioned in His Book and explained through His Messenger—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—to draw His creatures’ attention to them1.
He then included other chapters.
Among the chapters he included concerning Allah’s exclusive right to be worshipped are the following:
1 On knowledge of Allah’s beautiful names—Mighty and Majestic is He—with which He has named Himself and which He has revealed to His servants so that they may know Him, supplicate to Him and remember Him.
