955 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Jaʿfar Muhammad ibn al-Husayn ibn Ibrahim ibn Ashkab narrated to us; Jaʿfar ibn ʿAwn narrated to us—Misʿar said, “He informed us”—that Husayn ibn ʿAli (may Allah be pleased with him) once passed by some destitute people. He sat down with them and said, “Indeed, Allah does not love the arrogant.” (Surah al-Nahl, 16:23)
