938 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Shurayḥ narrated to us; Mubarak ibn Saʿid narrated to us, from Mansur, regarding the words of Allah—exalted is He—“And do not forget your share of the world” (al-Qasas 28:77). He said: It is not speaking of some worldly possession; rather, your share is your lifespan, which you should devote to sending forth deeds for your Hereafter.
٩٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُرَيْح، حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il – ﴿وَلَا تَنْسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا﴾ [القصص: ٧٧] ، قَالَ: لَيْسَ هُوَ عَرَضٌ مِنْ عَرَضِ الدُّنْيَا، وَلَكِنْ نَصِيبُكَ عُمْرُكَ أَنْ تُقَدِّمَ فِيهِ لِآخِرَتِكَ "
