Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal
  1. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us; Hishām ibn Ḥassān narrated to us; my father informed me—from ʿĀʾishah—that the Prophet ﷺ once entered her quarters while an unnamed woman was present. She began speaking about the length of her own prayers. He said, “Enough—do only what you can bear. By Allah, Allah never grows weary until you grow weary; the religious deeds He loves most are the ones whose doer perseveres in them.”
