- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father informed me; Ibn Faḍl informed us; al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from Abū Ṣāliḥ who said: I asked ʿĀʾishah and Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with them), “Which deed was most beloved to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?” They answered, “Whatever is performed persistently, even if it is small.”
٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبِي، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ فَضْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ، وَأُمَّ سَلَمَةَ (رضي الله عنه): أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَتَا: «مَا دَامَ، وَإِنْ قَلَّ»
