886 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Ḥajjāj narrated to us; al-Masʿūdī narrated to us, from al-Qāsim and others, from ʿAbd Allah, who used to say:

“Speak good words and you will be known by them; act upon that good and you will be counted among its people. Do not be hasty, loquacious scatterers who fling their words about.”
