873 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us; al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from Mālik ibn al-Ḥārith, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Yazīd, from ʿAbd Allah, who said:

“Whoever’s prayer does not bid him to what is right and forbid him from what is wrong only drives him further away (from Allah).”
