860 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; Marwan al-Fazari narrated to us, from al-ʿAlaʾ ibn Khalid, from Shaqiq, from ʿAbd Allah, concerning the Almighty’s words: “and on that Day Hell is brought forth” (Surah al-Fajr, 89:23). He said, “It will be brought forth with seventy thousand reins, and with every rein there are seventy thousand angels dragging it.”
