- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Abu Dawud narrated to us; Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, who said:
Abu Musa reported, “I once came to the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—and I could not but regard Ibn Masʿud as one of the Prophet’s own household, because of the gentle care I saw them show him.”
٨٥٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَمَا أَرَى ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ إِلَّا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ مِمَّا رَأَيْتُ مِنْ لُطْفِهِمْ بِهِ "
