Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal

828 – ʿAbd Allah related it to us; Hārūn told me; Ḍamrah reported to us. Rajāʾ said: We were informed by Ḥassān, the freedman of Mālik b. ʿAbd Allah, who said: “On his shin—meaning Mālik’s—there was a vein upon which the name ‘Allah’ was inscribed. I kept gazing at it while he was performing wuduʾ (ritual ablution), and he said, ‘What are you looking at? No human scribe ever wrote that.’”
