826 – ʿAbd Allah related it to us; Muhammad b. ʿUbayd b. Hisab told me; Jaʿfar b. Sulayman related it to us; and Ismaʿil b. ʿUbayd reported:
ʿAʾidh b. ʿAmr said, “Pouring out the water of my own basin inside my private chamber is dearer to me than emptying it in the Muslims’ roadway.” No water ever left his house—not even rainwater from the roof—and he was shown in a vision to be among the people of Paradise.
٨٢٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَائِذُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو: لَأَنْ أَصُبَّ طِسْتِي فِي حَجْلَتِي أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ ⦗١٢٦⦘ مِنْ أَنْ أَصُبَّ فِي طَرِيقِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَالَ: وَكَانَ لَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْ دَارِهِ مَاءٌ وَلَا مَاءُ السَّمَاءِ، قَالَ فَرُئِيَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ مَنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ "
