819 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Khadijah, Umm Muhammad—who used to come to my father and listen to him before the “Thirties” section—narrated to me. She said: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us; al-ʿAwwam narrated to us, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from Salman, who said:

“Seven kinds of people will be beneath the shade of Allah on the Day of Resurrection, a day when there is no shade but His shade:

1. a man who meets his brother and says, ‘I love you for the sake of Allah,’ and the other replies the same;
2. a man who remembers Allah and tears well up in his eyes out of fear of Him;
3. a man who gives charity with his right hand, hiding it even from his left;
4. a man whom a woman of beauty and charm invites to herself, yet he says, ‘I fear Allah’;
5. a man whose heart is attached to the mosques because of his love for them;
6. a man who watches the course of the sun so as to keep the prayer times; and
7. a man who, when he speaks, speaks with knowledge, and when he is silent, is silent out of forbearance.”
