- ‘Abd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Wahb ibn Jarir narrated to us, and his father narrated to us. He said: “I heard Humayd ibn Hilal relating from Mutarrif, who said: I said to ‘Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him), ‘What I observe of your condition keeps me from coming to visit you.’ He replied, ‘Do not let that stop you, for the visitor who is dearest to me is the one whose visit is dearest to Allah, Exalted is He.’”
٨٠٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدَ بْنَ هِلَالٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، قُلْتُ: لِعِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ (رضي الله عنه): إِنَّهُ لَيَمْنَعُنِي مِنْ عِيَادَتِكَ مَا أَرَى مِنْ حَالِكَ قَالَ: لَا تَفْعَلْ، فَإِنَّ أَحَبَّهُ إِلَيَّ أَحَبُّهُ لِلَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il – "
