ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Nasr ibn ʿAli narrated to us; Muʿtamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Saʿid ibn Dirham, from Abu Rajaʾ al-ʿAtaridi, who said:
I saw Ibn ʿAbbas, and the area beneath his eyes was like a worn-out sandal-strap from the constant flow of tears.
٧٨٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ دِرْهَمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيِّ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَسْفَلَ مِنْ عَيْنَيْهِ مِثْلُ الشَّرَاكِ الْبَالِي مِنَ الدُّمُوعِ "
