777 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Abu ʿAmir narrated to us; Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from ʿAli ibn Zayd, who said, “A man who had seen al-Zubayr ibn al-ʿAwwam told me that his chest was pitted with eye-shaped scars from spear thrusts and arrows.”
