774. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, my father narrated to me, Muṣʿab narrated to us, Mālik narrated to me, from Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyab, who said:

“For me to doze off and so miss the last ʿIshāʾ prayer (the night prayer) is dearer than to sit up afterward engaging in idle talk.”
