ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me. Hashim narrated to us; Hariz narrated from ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Abi ʿAwf, from ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Mansur al-Fazari, that Abu al-Dardaʾ said: “Whenever a man sets out early for the mosque to acquire some good or to impart it, Allah records for him the reward of a mujahid, and he returns only with spoils.”
