- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us—my father related to me—Yazid narrated to us; Abu Saʿid al-Kindi informed us, from someone who conveyed it to him, from Abu al-Dardaʾ, who said:
“How excellent are the sleep of the prudent and their eating after the fast! How they outstrip the sleepless nights and fasting of fools. Indeed, an atom’s weight of taqwa (God-consciousness) and yaqīn (certainty) in a person is greater, better, and weightier than mountains of worship offered by the self-deluded.”
