- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Maʿmar told me; Sufyan ibn ʿUyaynah reported: ʿUthman (may Allah have mercy on him) said, “I would not wish a single day or night to pass without my looking into the Book of Allah”—meaning, reading it directly from the mushaf.
