- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Maʿmar told me; Sufyan ibn ʿUyaynah related to us, who said: ʿUthman (may Allah have mercy on him) remarked, “If your hearts were truly pure, you would never tire of the speech of Allah.”
٦٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ عُثْمَانُ (رحمه الله): «لَوْ طَهُرَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ مَا شَبِعْتُمْ مِنْ كَلَامِ اللَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il –»
