ʿAbd Allah related to us; my father related to me; Hushaym related to us; Mujalid informed us, from al-Shaʿbi, from Ibn ʿUmar, who said: ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab—may Allah have mercy on him—charged me with this instruction: “When you lay me in the niche of my grave, press my cheek against the earth so that nothing remains between my cheek and the ground.”
