- ʿAbd Allah related to us; my father related to me; Wakiʿ related to us; Sufyan narrated from al-Aʿmash, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from al-Harith ibn Suwayd, who said: A man from Kufa maligned ʿAmmar—may Allah have mercy on him—before ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab—may Allah be pleased with him. Al-Harith said: So ʿAmmar said to that man, “If you are lying, then may Allah increase your wealth and your children, and turn you into ground trampled by people’s heels.”
