610 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Mansur ibn Bashir—meaning Ibn Abi Mizah—narrated to me; Abu Bakr—namely Ibn ʿAyyash—narrated to us, from ʿAsim, from Habib ibn Sahban al-Kahili, who said:

I was making tawaf around the Kaʿbah while ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab was circling as well. He offered no supplication except: “Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire” (Quran 2:201). Habib concluded, “That was his only constant refrain.”
