594 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿUbayd Allah ibn ʿUmar narrated to me; Sulaym ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us; he said: al-Hasan informed me; he said that al-Ahnaf ibn Qays reported: “We used to partake of ʿUmar’s meals: one day there would be fresh meat, another day dried meat, and on another day only oil.”
