- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Musa ibn Hilal informed us; Hisham ibn Hassan narrated to us, from al-Hasan who said:
“Salman visited Abu Bakr while he was battling for his last breath. He said, ‘O Successor of the Messenger of Allah, counsel me.’ Abu Bakr replied, ‘Allah is about to grant you the dominion of this world, so take from it only what will see you through your journey. Whoever performs the dawn prayer is under Allah’s protection; therefore, do not betray Allah in His protection, lest He cast you face-down into the Fire.’”
٥٧١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أبِي، أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هِلَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: " دَخَلَ سَلْمَانُ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَهُوَ يَكِيدُ بِنَفْسِهِ، فَقَالَ: يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، أَوْصِنِي، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ – Exalté soit-Il – فَاتِحٌ عَلَيْكُمُ الدُّنْيَا، فَلَا تَأْخُذُوا مِنْهَا إِلَّا بَلَاغَكُمْ، وَإِنَّ مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ فَهُوَ فِي ذِمَّةِ اللَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il – فَلَا تَخْفِرَنَّ اللَّهَ – Exalté soit-Il – فِي ذِمَّتِهِ، فَيُكِبَّكَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَى وَجْهِكَ»
