- ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; he said: ʿUbaydullāh ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; he said: Wakīʿ and al-Ḥakam ibn Ḥazn both related to us, saying: Hishām ibn ʿUrwa narrated to us, from his father, from ʿĀʾisha—in the version transmitted by al-Ḥakam ibn Ḥazn—who said, “By Allah, Abu Bakr left neither a dinar nor a dirham; he had already devoted every last coin to Allah.”
٥٦٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَالْحَكَمُ بْنُ حَزْنٍ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - فِي حَدِيثِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ حَزْنٍ - قَالَتْ: «وَاللَّهِ، مَا تَرَكَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ دِينَارًا وَلَا دِرْهَمًا ضَرَبَ لِلَّهِ سَكْتَهُ»
