Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal

548 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father transmitted it to me; ʿAbd al-Wahhāb related to us; Shuʿbah reported from Qatādah, who said:

“It is written in the Torah: ‘O child of Adam, you remember Me with your tongue yet forget Me; you invite others to Me yet flee from Me yourself; I provide for you, and still you worship someone other than Me.’”
