Report 56: ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Wakīʿ narrated to us; ʿAlī ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to us, from Abū al-Muhallab, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Zahr, from ʿAlī ibn Yazīd, from al-Qāsim, from Abū Umāmah, who said:
The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said, conveying the words of Allah, Exalted is He:
“Of all My allies, the one I deem most enviable is a believer whose worldly burden is light, who enjoys a share of prayer, perfects the worship of his Lord, and remains obscure among people—no fingers point him out. His death is hastened, his estate is small, and few are the ones who weep for him.”
Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ʿAbd Allāh said: I asked my father, “What does ‘his turāth’ mean?” He replied, “His inheritance.”
