536 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Wakiʿ narrated to us; Abu al-Ashhab narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Wasiʿ, who said:

Luqman said to his son, “My dear child, do not put on a display before the people that you fear Allah while your heart is steeped in sin.”
