521 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us—my father narrated to me—ibn Atash narrated to us—al-Mundhir, from Wahb:

“A man was responsible for the incense burners of Bayt al-Maqdis (the Holy Sanctuary in Jerusalem). He had two sons who, once they reached maturity, began behaving wantonly with women, and he did not rebuke them. Allah then said, ‘By My might, I swear that I shall cause all three of them to die on the same day, and afterwards I shall unleash poverty upon their household.’”
